Biography
Michael K. Komanecky has organized exhibitions and contributed to catalogues in various areas of both European and American art in curatorial positions at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Yale University Art Gallery, Currier Museum of Art, Phoenix Art Museum, and Farnsworth Art Museum, among others. He received his M.A. in art history at Brown University, and has been the recipient of various research fellowships including from the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst, National Endowment of the Arts, Smithsonian American Art Museum, and Huntington Library. Over the past two decades his focus has been American art, particularly the art of the American West.
