Explore the award-winning art of Murray Tinkelman, a Hall of Fame illustrator whose pen-and-ink drawings have captured the essence of the American experience for more than six decades. The artist’s work has appeared in such national publications as "Atlantic Monthly," "The New York Times," and "The Washington Post," and he has received noteable commissions by The National Park Service and The U.S. Air Force, among others. An exceptional educator, he has inspired generations of illustrators through the years, and is currently Chair of the Low Residency MFA Illustration Program at Hartford School of Art. Baseball, rodeos, classic cars, Native American culture, and other themes that inspire the artist’s passionate interest in the world around him will be reflected in the works on view.
